We are delighted to share that Gordon Bebb, Chairman of the Blond McIndoe Research Foundation (BMRF), has been appointed to the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s Court of Patrons.
“It is a great honour to have been appointed to the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s Court of Patrons.” Gordon said. “This recognition reflects the collective work and commitment of the Trustees and secretary of the Blond McIndoe Research Foundation since 2018, and the progress we have made together in supporting the College’s mission. I am very pleased to accept the appointment on behalf of all those who have contributed to the Foundation’s work.”

The Court of Patrons is a long-established body within the Royal College of Surgeons of England, recognising individuals who have made a significant contribution to the College’s mission and charitable objectives, and who support the advancement of surgical education, research and professional standards.
Gordon joins Colonel Professor Linda Orr, who has also been appointed to the Court of Patrons. Colonel Professor Orr is a highly respected figure within the Royal College of Surgeons of England, serving as Defence Professor of Surgery, Surgical Research Advisor, and a member of the RCS Honours Committee. She has advised the Blond McIndoe Research Foundation for many years, and her appointment reflects her long-standing commitment to surgical research and education.
Gordon’s appointment to the Court of Patrons is not just a personal honour - it recognises the collective impact and commitment of the BMRF team and supporters in advancing surgical knowledge, care, and collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons since 2018. This milestone reflects the Foundation’s growth from its early days to the respected position it holds today.
We extend our warm congratulations to both Gordon Bebb and Linda Orr on these well-deserved recognitions.
